I am a former Employee. The only piece of information that i can give you on the consumer credit cards is that it is policy to basically have the APR = to the highest amount allowable by state law. It is common practice to offer CC's when closing on a mortgage with a person who was refinancing at 4points a 2 year Prepayment agreement, and essentially a much debt as they could possibly carry. This gets teh employees to thier "Units" goal. It is a horrible practice. As how you were sold this, i would say you were almost certianly decieved (maybe not intentionally), as the WFF rep did not know the product as well as they should have, and if you asked questions they answered with whatever they could think of (remember they are sales reps). Good luck
Well when I worked for card services. It was common practice to do a good job and collect money or they would get rid of you...lol

I worked for Wells Fargo for 7 years, in 3 different branch locations, and I can tell you about an issue I encountered several times; a new credit card application doesn't require a customer's signature, so bankers are encouraged to submit applications for anyone they think will get approved (bankers "estimate" employment income so that it's high enough to qualify) It didn't matter if the customer was unaware of the application, if they complained loudly enough after the card was issued the banker would just cancel the card- but of course all of this activity reflects on the customer's credit report.
